I'm Ed and I make things move in Los Angeles.
As a Senior Motion Designer, every day I take care to ensure a consistent and excellent motion experience across all materials I touch. Whether that means advertising, training materials, web interactions, live conference experiences, or blog content.
While at Bluebeam, I pushed the brand to be an industry leader in design. The year I spearheaded all of the video and motion design programming at the company conference was a major departure from the industry norm. We used heavily stylized branding and a color palette that was seen as risky in the conservative construction business. It was so well received that since then, I’ve worked with more junior colleagues across several teams to develop their design skills and maintain brand consistency. I find it very rewarding to mentor colleagues and see the great work they produce, and knowing I had a small hand in it.
Prior to my work at Bluebeam, I've been an animator and a vfx artist for advertising, live events, movies, short films, and web content.
In my personal life, I love camping and hiking. My goal is to visit every US national park. In 2020 I also started woodworking. I want to make any new furniture that goes in my house from here on out!
